    Job Title: Plant Accounting Manager

    Overview:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the accounting functions of the plant, communicating monthly financial results to management, and enabling appraisal of actual performance against targets. Overall responsibility for financial matters of the plant includes strategic planning, financial analysis, and budgeting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Accounting Functions: Direct and oversee all aspects of accounting operations within the plant, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
    • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate, timely, and reliable financial reports to management, highlighting key trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Budgeting and Planning: Collaborate with departments to prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Asset Management: Responsible for asset lifecycle management, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of assets.
    • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate business risks, maintaining a risk-free balance sheet.
    • SOX Compliance: Ensure adherence to SOX requirements, maintaining internal controls and audit processes.
    • Project Management: Lead ad-hoc financial projects and duties as required, driving business outcomes through effective project management.

    Requirements:

    • Qualifications: Relevant degree/diploma in Finance or equivalent experience.
    • Experience: At least 4 years of finance management experience or 6 years in finance within a manufacturing operation, preferably in the automotive industry.
    • Skills: Advance computer literacy, Excel/Word/PowerPoint; planning, organizing, controlling skills (including project management); financial management in production; advance broad-based accounting knowledge, with QAD beneficial; critical thinking; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; decision making/problem solving skills; conflict handling and dispute resolutions skills; ability to cope with stressful situations; high ethical standards and objectivity in decision-making.

    Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
