Description

The Head Concierge has the sole responsibility for establishing and ensuring a 'World Class Client Experience:


  • You will ensure that the highest standards of quality and service are maintained within the hotel:
-
You will manage a subordinate who will form part of your Concierge Team and will ensure that the correct standard and performance is executed at all times:


  • Make dining and other reservations for patrons, and obtain tickets for events:
-
Provide information about local features such as shopping, dining, nightlife, and recreational destinations:


  • Make travel arrangements for sightseeing and other tours:
-
Receive, store, and deliver luggage and mail (if and when required):


  • Perform office duties on a temporary basis when needed:
-
Pick up and deliver items, or run errands for guests:


  • Carry out unusual requests such as searching for hard-to-find items and arranging for exotic services:

Arrange for the replacement of items lost by travelers:


  • Ensure you are proficient in all front office duties
  • specifically check-in, check-out and payment procedures

Minimum Requirements:


  • Matric
  • Hospitality Qualification or Similar
Years Head Concierge experience

  • Knowledge of attractions, activities and the in the area as a whole
  • Hands on Problem Solving approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Experience with PMS systems (Protel advantageous)
  • Customer service driven with outstanding communication and active listening skills
  • Friendly, courteous and serviceorientated
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Effective communication with members of staff as well as Guests of the Hotel
  • Honest and trustworthy beyond approach
  • Great attention to detail
  • Presentable/Professional appearance and well spoken
  • Team Player who leads by example
  • Proactive in approach
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Marketing skills, especially Social Media beneficial
