Job Description

As a key member of the engineering team, you will work closely with end-users to understand their business needs and data requirements. This involves collaboration to gather insights on how to optimize data solutions for improved performance.

Main Responsibilities

Perform ad-hoc data analysis and 'data wrangling' using Synapse Analytics and Databricks.
Develop dynamic meta-data driven data ingestion patterns using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
Benchmark and maintain the Enterprise Data Warehouse (utilizing Data Vault 2.0 methodology).
Build and maintain business-focused data products and data marts.
Construct and maintain Azure Analysis Services databases and cubes.
Design 'infrastructure-as-code' deployment pipelines.
Assist in sharing support and operational duties within the engineering team.

Key Technologies

Proficiency in T-SQL for advanced data analysis and exploration.
Strong proficiency in SQL programming (stored procedures, functions).
In-depth experience with SQL Server and SSIS.
Familiarity with data warehouse modeling methodologies (Data Vault 2.0, Kimball).
Experience in Azure – one or more of the following: Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, ADLS Gen2.
Capacity to build robust and performant ETL processes.
Able to build and maintain Analysis Services databases and cubes (both multidimensional and tabular).
Understanding and expertise of deployment pipelines.
Skilled in utilizing source control, preferably GIT.
