    Description

    Job Title: Technical Writer

    We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team at smdtechnologies. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical writing skills and experience in creating clear and comprehensive user instruction manuals.

    About the Role:

    As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality user instruction manuals that cater to a wide range of brands and products. Your role will involve explaining complex technical concepts in an understandable manner, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, and collaborating with product designers, engineers, and other stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • User Manual Creation: Write clear, concise, and comprehensive user instruction manuals that meet the needs of diverse audiences.
    • Technical Concept Explanation: Explain complex technical concepts in an easily comprehensible way.
    • Audience Tailoring: Tailor instruction manuals to the target audience's knowledge level and language proficiency.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
    • Visual Asset Creation: Create or work with visual assets to aid understanding.
    • User Testing: Participate in user testing to ensure user-friendliness.
    • Collaboration: Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication.
    • Manual Updates: Revise and update manuals as needed due to product changes or improvements.
    • Time Management: Manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

    Key Requirements:

    • Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a technical writer.
    • Tech Writing Skills: Excellent technical writing skills.
    • Audience Understanding: Understanding of audience needs and preferences.
    • Product Knowledge: Deep product knowledge.
    • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Linguistic Skills: Advanced English language skills, both written and verbal.
    • Communication Skills: Advanced communication skills.
    • Writing Experience: Experience in technical writing, preferably in user instruction manuals.
    • Advantageous Skills: Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and technical drawing is advantageous.
    • Time Management: Strong time management skills.
