    Description

    Financial Accountant (Rosebank)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage cashbooks and bank reconciliations for multiple companies in different currencies.
    • Maintain the fixed assets register and process depreciation.
    • Calculate and reconcile VAT.
    • Process credit card transactions and employee reimbursements.
    • Prepare and post monthly journal entries (accruals, provisions, prepayments).
    • Keep accurate and up-to-date financial records.
    • Provide financial insights and reports to management.
    • Assist with year-end audits and financial reporting.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
    • At least 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
    • Strong knowledge of South African financial laws and regulations.
    • Experience with foreign currency transactions.
    • Familiarity with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
    • Proficient in accounting software and Excel.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.

    Estimated Salary: R600,000 - R800,000 per annum
