Purpose of the job:

Responsible for managing and overseeing all our resources, inventory and supplies for our receiving department in CPT. In addition, you will be responsible for securing the warehouse as well as supervising staff.


Key responsibilities:


  • Performance Management of all Inbound staff and FLT drivers on an hourly and daily basis
  • Morning Staff Meetings with plan for day and completed & outstanding stats feedback.
  • Ensure all KPI's for Inbound is met daily.
  • All inter branch transfers processed and completed within 4 hours from offloading;
  • Supplier vehicles to be attended to within 15 minutes from arrival at EXIM.
  • Ensure all Inbound SOP's are adhered to and do spot audits.
  • Ensure that goods are received according to the following standard:
  • Correct stock is received as per PO/Transfer
  • Correct quantity as per PO/Transfer,
  • Correct quality
  • Stock being received has an expiry date greater than 6 months.
  • To ensure the stock received is accurately and timeously recorded.
  • Ensure all stock received are correctly labelled with Granite labels and that the correct quantity is reflected on barcode.
  • Ensure all pallets are accurately palletized.
  • Granite receiving location must be clear at all times with no stock older than 24 hours.
  • To ensure that goods short delivered / damaged are not received and that the relevant supplier or branch is notified of the discrepancy.
  • To ensure the proper segregation of duties within the receiving department.
  • Checking all order numbers if they are valid
  • Preparing check sheets for receiving and ensuring compliance
  • Ensure that queries are resolved timeously and as per our policy.
  • Ensure that Supplier Issues Sheet is maintained and sent to Buyers on a daily basis.
  • Ensure all queries received for Inbound (IBT's and PO's) are dealt with promptly and reported to the Logistics Manager.
  • As part of your job requirement be available at all times to work overtime.
  • Carry out all additional tasks given from time to time by management.
  • Support and Build a strong customer service culture in the business.
  • All supplier COA's must be filled in the appropriate COA file.
  • Ensure all suppliers submits a supplier COA. Request COA with buyer or supplier if truck arrived without these documents.
  • Ensure all relevant receiving documents are filled according to company standards. All documentation must be readily accessible for audited purposes.

Required minimum education and work experience:

years' experience in a Logistics/Warehousing environment.

  • 3 years people management experience.
  • Experience within the same role & warehousing environment will be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office packages
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification would be advantageous
  • Hard working
  • Selfmotivated and driven
  • Work well within a team
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans or any other language)

Salary:
R15, R20,000.00 per month
