Description

Our client, one of the largest suppliers and manufacturers of building materials to the construction industry is looking for an Internal Sales Rep with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience.

You will be responsible to increase the company's market share with contractors, wholesale and retail sectors; to establish, nurture and maintain profitable relationships with existing and new customers in these markets in Johannesburg and to assist the sales team nationally.

You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Counter sales

Preparation of quotations

Delivery notes for customers

Office Support for Cape Town's external sales team

Stock control in conjunction with storeman

Process job cards for counter sales transactions

Aid in the control of deliveries to customers and collections from suppliers

Order processing

Servicing new and existing clients

Preparation quotes

Answering telephones - Queries and orders

Telesales - Existing customer bi-weekly follow-up and new clients, identifying and pursuing opportunities in the market, promoting its company's products to clients

Processing sales orders

Daily back-order checks and follow ups

Inter branch transfers

Assisting walk in customers

Assist with courier documentation - with collection and deliveries

Prospect for new customers and potential markets to further the company sales objectives

Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads

Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities

Keeping up with product and service information and updates

Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers

Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services

Staying informed about competing products and services

Upselling products and services

Closing sales and achieving sales targets

Education:

Matric

Certificate / Courses will be adv.

Minimum of - 3 years' experience within the hardware / building materials industry

Computer Literate - MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Skills:

Good communication skills and able to work well with a diverse team (Afrikaans & English)

Deadline orientated and work well under pressure

Attention to detail

Basic salary + commission on offer.

Salary:
R11, R12,000.00 per month
