    Description

    Job Title: Leasing Division Head

    A dynamic and experienced individual is sought to lead the leasing division, driving sustainable growth for a leading retail brand in South Africa.

    The successful candidate will be a skilled negotiator able to secure long-term leases for franchised stores nationwide.

    Requirements:

    1. Matric certificate
    2. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (advantageous)
    3. Valid driver's license with own vehicle
    4. Strong knowledge of leasing and lease agreements
    5. Minimum 5 years' experience in lease negotiations with high-level landlords in SA

    Responsibilities:

    1. Lead all leasing functions, including reviewing and negotiating lease transactions and agreements
    2. Liaise with tenants on negotiation and leasing matters
    3. Prepare and update leasing schedules
    4. Contact landlords 3 months prior to lease renewals to initiate negotiations
    5. Identify new site opportunities and negotiate associated deals for potential new stores or store relocations
    6. Ensure board approval on leasing decisions from landlords and Franchisor on behalf of Franchisees
    7. Liaise with legal division on lease agreements and obtain sign-off
    8. Review lease agreements for final approval
    9. Oversee productivity and budgetary performance of the leasing operations department
    10. Analyze leasing trends of competitors to ensure company positioning
    11. Report on current deals, progress, terms, updates, and approvals
    12. Produce quarterly cost-saving reports for review and collaboration with central finance
