The
Head of the technical broker channel is responsible for the management of supplier relationships, product design and upgrade, providing support to technical brokers & oversight on complex commercial claims, policy wording and process improvements.


Role Overview:


  • Head of the technical department, strategy & technical team management
  • Management & administration of suppliers and product panel
  • Design & implementation of bespoke products and services
  • Contract Management (incl. intermediary agreement, outsourced agreements, binder agreements and referral agreements)
  • Providing technical support & assistance to Risk Advisors on cover structuring, complex placements and claims, terms negotiation and renewal presentations.
  • Policy management systems and process management / oversight

Essential Experience:


  • 10 years' Commercial Insurance experience
  • 5 years' Intermediary experience


  • RE1 & RE

  • Shortterm/Commercial FAIS Accreditation

Advantageous Qualifications:


  • Bachelors Degree or AIISA/FIISA
This role will suit a seasoned professional with extensive technical knowledge and leadership experience within a Short-term Insurance intermediary.
