KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Main job responsibilities along with summarised sub elements

1. Develop Executional Strategy and Planning for the Channel

  • Develop a 4P executional strategy across current and future Danone customers (Pricing compliance, Promo adherence, SOV, Price Indexing, Distribution tracking and gap closure, Assortment & ranging, planogramming, OSA, Forward Shares, POS placement etc, shopper initiatives.)
  • Scorecard and communicate 4P strategy as well as gaps to targets and transversal projects to correct
  • Actively engage with key retail and/or wholesale customer to develop profitable solutions for both customers and Danone
  • Ensure category thought leadership with key retailers and be category leaders
  • Work closely with the key accounts & field sales teams to develop and execute the customer and brand vision and strategy
  • Ensure NPD excellence in design and execution (STM, WTD, Vol, Returns)
  • Working alongside customer and national accounts teams to translate customer insights into strategies that drive performance.
  • Support key accounts in the development of customer JBP's

2. Market Brand Analysis and 4P recommendations for the Channel

  • Review the current market, analyse with excellence, and look at potential market opportunities (internal & external data)
  • Recommend and track 4P metrics via scorecard development and tracking (by month & regional key account)
  • Actively project manage to correct shortfalls vs recommended targets
  • Determine an efficient assortment of products for a store, based on performance data
  • Create and deliver a range of recommendations and planograms for all customer channels
  • Define the right promotional strategy in conjunction with PRGM and Key accounts. Ensure compliance via tracking and active project management to correct
  • Maintain and evaluate the current business pricing strategy and develop the annual Commercial Pricing strategy in conjunction with PRGM dept
  • Liaise with the Marketing, Category Development & Key Accounts teams to ensure that adequate support by way of merchandising and shopper initiatives is available nationally in order to provide brand visibility and promote sales in the region

3. Co-ordinate Integration

  • Provide active support to key accounts teams through the annual business planning process and quarterly customer reviews.
  • Be the instore execution strategy formulation specialist as well as the tracker thereof
  • Provide training to the Field Sales and Key Accounts teams on PICOS for the Channel
  • Offer strategic insight to marketing and sales teams on key shopper and market Information
