    Scope of Position:

    • The Maintenance Coordinator oversees daily maintenance operations, schedules preventive maintenance, and coordinates repair activities to ensure smooth facility operations. This role involves communicating with the Maintenance Manager, contractors, and other departments to maintain an efficient and safe environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manages administrative tasks for the Maintenance department, including attendance preparation, supply ordering, and payment processing.
    • Ensures timely completion of team members' tasks and projects, relaying updates to relevant departments.
    • Assists the Maintenance Manager in planning budgets for investments, projects, and replacements.
    • Handles sustainability projects and ensures compliance with local government regulations.
    • Schedules preventive maintenance for facilities, equipment, and systems.
    • Liaises with contractors and suppliers for repairs, services, and parts procurement.
    • Manages inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
    • Orders replacement parts and materials as needed.
    • Maintains accurate records of equipment specifications and service histories.
    • Ensures maintenance activities comply with company policies and safety regulations.
    • Conducts safety checks and inspections of tools, equipment, and work areas.
    • Assists in maintaining documentation for regulatory compliance.
    • Maintains accurate records of work orders, service requests, and completed tasks.
    • Coordinates with the Maintenance Manager to ensure budget adherence.
    • Serves as a point of contact between the maintenance team and other departments.
    • Provides updates on maintenance activities and timelines to relevant stakeholders.
    • Addresses urgent maintenance issues and prioritizes work as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Matric certificate
    • A degree in Facility Management or Engineering is advantageous
