    Category Manager Central Procurement

    We are seeking a seasoned Category Manager to join our client's team in the Northern Cape. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies that drive cost savings and efficiency across the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute category strategies to improve procurement costs, service, and quality.
    • Manage supplier relationships to meet cost, quality, and service targets.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across procurement functions.
    • Negotiate and manage procurement contracts to ensure compliance and alignment with goals.
    • Lead and mentor the category management team to achieve objectives.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering (NQF Level 7).
    • Postgraduate Degree / MBA in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration (preferred).
    • Minimum 5 years operational category management experience in the mining sector.
    • Minimum 5 years supplier negotiation and contract management experience.
    • Minimum 3 years team leadership and management experience.

    Benefits:

    Salary: R800,000 - R1,200,000 per annum (negotiable)

    This is a salaried position with a negotiable salary range of R800,000 to R1,200,000 per annum. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in category management, supplier relationship management, and cost savings implementation.
