    Purpose of the Job: To effectively lead and manage the Human Resources function, ensuring strategic HR policies, programs, practices, and best practices are implemented.

    Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Degree or Diploma in HR or related field (NQF 6/7) is essential
    • Honours degree in relevant HR-related fields is advantageous
    • At least 6 years of experience in the HR field is required
    • 3-5 years of experience in shaft operations would be beneficial

    Key Competencies:

    • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office
    • Familiarity with business processes, mining industry methods, financial procedures, company procedures, and strategic planning
    • Knowledge of recruitment, placement, and optimization of human capital, employee relations, talent management, time and attendance, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent presentation and report writing skills

    Key Performance Areas:

    • To develop and monitor various business plans for operational units within Implats
    • To provide effective HR support and services to line management to achieve business plan objectives from a people perspective
    • To contribute to the overall business plan operations by providing HR inputs as part of the operational management team
    • To ensure people availability by implementing effective labour planning and management processes
    • To implement and audit HR best practices
    • To maintain and improve operational employee relations
    • To ensure employees and subordinates are developed according to operational needs
    • To ensure transformation targets set by the business plan are met in compliance with relevant legislation
    • To manage, implement, and maintain the talent function within the operation
