Our client in the Insurance industry is currently looking for a
Claims Manager in Park Town, Johannesburg.


Responsibilities:


  • Day to day management of staff.
  • Delegate and distribute workload as required.
  • Appraise and review performance targets/progress.
  • Staff recruitment and selection.
  • Manage efficiencies in department.
  • Claims strategy training of staff, staff having the same level of excellence.
  • Understanding what the team needs and harness the ideas from the team.
  • Career development of staff.
  • Define the marketing/events for the team.
  • Manage preassessments.
  • Prepare and supervise individual claim plans.
  • Define service of excellence such as 48hours, creditors paid timeously.
  • Report, monitor and control 48hour turnaround.
  • Report on 48hour compliance, recoveries success and 3rd party management.
  • 48hour process understanding why a claim was not authorized in time.
  • To attend to claim queries.
  • To assist staff with difficult claims.
  • Authorize claims requisitions.
  • Conduct quarterly claims audit and review reserves.
  • Report and analyze trends in claims activity.
  • To sign off closed files.
  • Business management and strategic input.
  • Claims activity per period per month per year.
  • Reporting and management of reports.
  • Set recovery target with the Financial Manager.
  • Strategy on legal e.g., Third Party.
  • Understand triangulations.

Requirements:


  • Grade 1
  • Regulatory Exam.
  • Full Insurance qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years Motor/Trucking Insurance experience.
  • Proven Management experience.
  • Microsoft Office Intermediate.
  • Bilingual (English and Afrikaans)

Remuneration:


  • R R50 000 CTC per month.

Salary:
R40, R50,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
