We are looking for an individual with strong retail planning experience, as well as a love for fashion, analytics and a sound understanding of the South African consumer market to join our Purchasing Team on a 3 month fixed term basis.

Key Performance Areas:

Monitor and maintain set budgets and company strategies.
Provide support to the Buying Team.
Manage Open to Buy (OTB) budget.
You will need to work closely with the respective Buyers to manage the budget spend, the replenishment process, monitor the supply chain order process and report accordingly.
Conduct regular analysis of how past merchandise buys have performed and the current market customer profile.

Education, skills, behaviour and knowledge required:

Relevant tertiary qualification in commerce related studies eg. Accounting, Finance, Economics or Supply Chain.
2 3 years fullyfledged retail planning experience.
Ecommerce experience is highly advantageous.
Advanced level in MS Office package with a specific focus on Excel (Macros, vlookup, pivot tables, conditional formulas, etc.) and Powerpoint.
A good understanding of the South African consumer market.
An analytical thinker.
Be able to find solutions and be a good decision maker.
Flair for numbers and figures.
Assertive communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas clearly.
Able to adapt and change in direction and focus quickly.
Team player the willingness to adapt to team goals and work effectively with colleagues in an interdependent way.
Attention to detail.
Preference for working with detailed analytical tasks.
Has a strategic / planning view.
Selfmotivated selfstarter.
Able to perform under pressure.
