Description

The HR Officer must provide human resources generalist service to the Business covering all administrative areas of the Airlink Human Resources department.

The HR department is responsible for screening, interviewing, and placing employees. They also handle employee relations, payroll, employee benefits, and training. The department ensures the company's policies and procedures are up-to-date and in accordance with statutory laws.


New Employee Entries (Permanent and Fixed Term):
a) Compile new employee pack and obtain salary and signature from HR Manager.

c) Compile and send contracts to new employees or employees being employed from fixed term to permanent.

d) Schedule induction and prepare induction packs.

e) Arrange employee induction lists and attendance.

f) Stand in for the HR Manager concerning the induction presentation.

g) Compile staff ID permit cards (new and current staff)

h) Do background and qualification checks for employees from outstations in conjunction with HR Administrator (new and current staff).

i) Collect documents from the employee for Payroll and send relevant forms to relevant third parties.

j) Record employees on the Movement sheet, Organizational chart, and Vacancy file.


Employee Terminations:

a) Receive termination notifications from the rest of the HR department or Managers.

b) Inform payroll of terminations.

c) Send the termination pack to the employee/manager.

d) Schedule exit interview.

e) Schedule the exit medical and uniform returns.

f) Inform IT of terminations.

g) Process Exit documents on the scheduled day.

h) Record termination on Movement Sheet, Organizational chart, and Vacancy file.


Performance Appraisals:

Collate, release, track, and archive performance appraisals for employees in areas of responsibility.


HR Duties:

a) Assist with the preparation of induction.

b) Assist with onboarding of employees.

c) Assist with permits.

d) Assist with premier HR.


Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Company Standards as laid out in the manuals of procedure, and Occupational Health and Safety Standards.

Will assist with any additional tasks within the context of the job description.

Will attend training when required to do so.

Experience:


  • HR Generalist: 2 years (required)
  • Recruitment: 2 years (required)
  • BCEA: 2 years (required)

Language:


  • English (required)

License/Certification:
- drivers license (preferred)


Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (preferred)
