    About the Hardware Engineer Role

    We are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to join our team at Plentify. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and validating our hardware products, including customer-facing items, internal tools, and automated production testing systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Designing hardware products based on specified requirements
    • Validating products to ensure they meet requirements
    • Collaborating with operational and financial teams to source components at production quantities

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Very high attention to detail, structured and creative problem solver, and strong communicator
    • Comfortable working independently within a flexible development process
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering
    • 2+ years of hardware development experience, including:
      • Experience with schematic capture and PCB Layout tools
      • Knowledge of both analog and digital discrete circuit design
      • Familiarity with hardware validation and testing processes, including lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
      • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot hardware issues
      • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
      • Collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams
      • Experience with low-level embedded programming languages and techniques to aid in hardware validation

      Location and Timing

      The role is available for immediate start. You will be required to have intermittent presence in Cape Town to immerse yourself in our operations. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

      Estimated Salary

      R 500,000 - R 700,000 per annum, depending on experience
