    Position Overview

    As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures within our manufacturing facility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing environmental impact.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental management systems in line with local regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and incidents.
  • Lead safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to promote awareness and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents, analyse root causes, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety and environmental considerations into manufacturing processes, equipment design, and facility layout.
  • Manage hazardous materials handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Develop initiatives in environmental impact, and monitor environmental performance metrics, such as energy consumption, waste generation, and emissions.
  • Maintain documentation and records related to HSE activities, including incident reports, inspection findings, and training records.
  • Stay abreast of changes in health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry best practices, and ensure compliance with updated requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HSE inquiries, concerns, and regulatory agencies, and represent the company in HSE-related matters.
  • Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma CSP, CIH) preferred.

    Proven experience in HSE management within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.

    Excellent knowledge of occupational health and safety principles, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques.

    Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

    Demonstrated project management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    Proficiency in using HSE management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools for data analysis and reporting.

    Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
