    Description

    Purpose of the Role:

    To perform comprehensive financial management, including bookkeeping and preparing management accounts for our client's business, while assisting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with non-financial responsibilities such as compliance, including FICA regulations.

    Responsibilities:

      • Monthly and daily tasks include:
        • Posting journals
        • Issuing invoices
        • Following up with debtors to ensure timely payments
        • Loading payments
        • Ensuring payments are made within agreed terms with payables
        • Assisting in compiling management accounts, ensuring all required assertions are met
        • Supporting document collation during audits
        • Coordinating compliance-related submissions
        • In the long term, may assist with tax submissions

    Requirements:

    • A relevant accounting qualification, along with a SAIPA, CGMA, or CIMA designation
    • Preferred accounting software: Xero
    • 3-4 years of relevant working experience

    • Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player
    • Initiative-taking, proactive problem-solving skills
