Procurement Administrator

Join our poultry team as a Procurement Administrator and take on a challenging role that requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Procure goods in compliance with cost, time, and quality requirements, adhering to company policies and standards.
  • Issue requests for quotations to vendors based on purchasing requests.
  • Support vendors in preparing technical and commercial proposals while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Manage the procurement process from determining stock requirements to receiving goods.
  • Perform assigned activities in compliance with procedures and provided systems and tools.
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with staff, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Add value, reduce costs, and contribute to business improvements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a procurement role, preferably in chilled FMCG.
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, and expediting.
  • Knowledge of the procurement process and expediting.
  • Matric certification is required.
  • A tertiary qualification in Purchasing or Supply Chain is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office is required.
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving skills.
