Procurement Administrator
Join our poultry team as a Procurement Administrator and take on a challenging role that requires strong organizational and communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Procure goods in compliance with cost, time, and quality requirements, adhering to company policies and standards.
- Issue requests for quotations to vendors based on purchasing requests.
- Support vendors in preparing technical and commercial proposals while maintaining confidentiality.
- Manage the procurement process from determining stock requirements to receiving goods.
- Perform assigned activities in compliance with procedures and provided systems and tools.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with staff, stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Add value, reduce costs, and contribute to business improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a procurement role, preferably in chilled FMCG.
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, and expediting.
- Knowledge of the procurement process and expediting.
- Matric certification is required.
- A tertiary qualification in Purchasing or Supply Chain is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office is required.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-solving skills.
