Up to R2 million per annum CTC commensurate with qualification and experience


Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years as a qualified CA (SA)
  • Minimum 3 years as CFO or Financial Director of an organisation
  • Sound people management and team leadership
  • Must know and be familiar with the relevant legislation/s
  • Experience in credit supervision/management is an advantage
  • Knowledge of payroll and benefits management
  • Knowledge of BBBEE codes
  • Strong leadership skills

Key Performance Areas:

  • Strategic planning and objective setting:
  • Collaborate with Executive Committee to optimise profitability in conjunction with short term and long-term business strategies, goals and objectives
  • Provide leadership to management, offering advice, guidance and direction on business matters, including operational policies and procedures, new business initiatives, and management of existing relationships
  • Keep the Managing Director informed about business activities, potential threats, opportunities and major recommended actions and ensure the timely and accurate provision of reports, including the identification of problem areas with corrective action plans to both the MD and the Board members
  • Ensuring that proper control systems, risk assessments and risk management established and maintained, and regular reports provided to the Managing Director
  • Management of the finance and credit operations:
  • Oversee the management of all fiscal activities, including revenue/expenditure, balance sheet reports
  • Oversee the production of monthly, quarterly and annual reports including reconciliations, financial cash flow projections etc. for the use at EXCO and Board Level
  • Build a proactive environment to ensure that management takes responsibility for results, by ensuring appropriate feedback mechanisms and identification of problem areas
  • Oversee and control year end results and annual reports
  • Manage debtors.
  • Manage the Financial Risk of he organization:
  • Responsible for the financial risk management infrastructure
  • Participate in ranking risks and developing mitigating plans to manage identified financial risks
  • Ensure control systems, risk assessments and risk management in the finance and credit departments
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax and company law, and accounting standards
  • Meet financial objectives set for the Finance Division:
  • Develop and manage national budget for the finance division
  • Coordinate preparation of divisional cost centre reports with explanation of variances and corrective action taken where required
  • Partner with Managing Director to approve divisional expenditure according to authority levels
  • Coordinate the preparation of presentations and reports on divisional budgets at relevant meetings
  • Manage BBBEE Scorecard:
  • Ensure BBBEE audit and verification process are conducted on an annual basis
  • Support development and implementation of transformation action plans
  • Coordinate the company BBBEE process
  • Track and monitor identified measures to improve BBBEE scorecard
  • Manage payroll and benefits office:
  • Manage the payroll team to ensure that Payroll is administered in compliance with policies and procedures, and relevant legislation
  • Manage Credit Office:
  • Manage the credit team to ensure all credit management processes are conducted in compliance with policies and procedures, and relevant legislation
  • Manage the Finance/Payroll /Credit Staff:
  • Conduct performance management and monitor performance on ongoing basis through mentoring, coaching and reviews according to timeframes and take appropriate steps to correct problems
  • Based on Human Resources advice, deal with Industrial Relations issues and take appropriate corrective actions in accordance company's policy on matters related to misconduct and incapacity, with a view to improving productivity

Salary:
Up to R2,000,000.00 per year
