    Duties:

    1. Take Over Reports: You will take over day and night reports from previous shifts to ensure continuity of care.
    2. Staff Instructions: Provide clear instructions to staff regarding tasks and responsibilities.
    3. Daily Rounds: Conduct daily rounds to assess residents' needs and provide necessary care.
    4. Status Reports: Submit regular status reports to the Manager regarding residents' well-being.
    5. Nutritional Needs: Assess and address nutritional needs of residents in collaboration with the dietician and doctors.
    6. Referrals: Timeously refer residents to relevant services such as pathology, X-rays, and doctors.
    7. Care Plans: Update and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure residents receive optimal care.
    8. Rounds with Doctor: Accompany the doctor on rounds and execute instructions promptly.
    9. Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs of residents, interpreting data as necessary.
    10. Equipment Maintenance: Check emergency equipment weekly and after use to ensure it is functioning properly.
    11. Care Planning: Compile care plans using the nursing process.
    12. Daily Work List: Maintain an up-to-date daily work list to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
    13. : Ensure all necessary forms are used correctly.
    14. Incident Reporting: Report incidents and problems to management promptly.
    15. : Order, receive, and record medication accurately, ensuring correct storage and disposal.
    16. Infection Control: Maintain infection prevention control measures at all times.
    17. Protocols and Procedures: Adhere to all established protocols and procedures.
    18. : Supervise and train staff in the correct use of resources, including new procedures and techniques.

    Requirements:

    1. Nursing Qualification: Possess a relevant nursing qualification.
    2. Registration: Be registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
    3. Experience: Have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience working with the elderly.
    4. : Possess excellent English and Afrikaans communication skills.
    5. : Demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence and ongoing learning.
    6. : Be willing to learn new procedures and techniques, and adapt to changing situations.
