Job Description:


We are seeking a skilled and qualified Mechanical Technician with a valid trade test certification in either Fitter & Turner, Millwright, or Toolmaker.

As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and systems, ensuring their optimal performance and functionality.

Your expertise will be crucial in supporting our operations and ensuring mínimal downtime.


Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment, identifying any issues or potential problems.

Perform repairs and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, machinery, and components.

Follow technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints to perform accurate repairs and installations.

Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule maintenance tasks and prioritize work orders.

Utilise precision tools and instruments to carry out measurements, alignments, and calibrations.

Monitor equipment performance and conduct performance tests to ensure efficiency and reliability.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including reports, work orders, and inventory management.

Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all staff.

Provide guidance and assistance to junior technicians or apprentices, as required.

Stay updated with industry advancements and emerging technologies related to mechanical systems.


Requirements:

Valid trade test certification as a Fitter & Turner, Millwright, or Toolmaker.

Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in a similar industry.

Strong mechanical aptitude and expertise in maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment.

Proficient in interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing repairs and maintenance tasks.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Flexibility to work occasional overtime or shifts, as required.
