Description
To coordinate, monitor and execute operational procurement work within established frameworks and policies.


Minimum Requirements:


  • National Diploma: Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
  • 23 years' experience in Procurement or Supply Chains.
  • Advanced computer literacy.

Minimum work experience:


  • Ensure all commercial activities within the Procurement Department have been ratified in terms of legal and financial requirements.
  • Ensure security and integrity pertaining to all procurement processes.
  • Ensure the supply to site is done with the shortest possible lead time, using best quality, best price and best practice.
  • Coordinate the forecasting and planning for anticipated consumption / needs to ensure adequate, ontime and costeffective availability of goods.
  • Manage Procurement targets to pursue critical success factors and drive KPI's to increase contract over adhoc purchasing.
  • Plan and implement development strategies for product categories.
  • Manage and maintain CHG's supplier database in collaboration with cross functional team members.
  • Ensure allocated hospitals manage adhere to procurement processes and standards.
  • Conduct strategic sourcing analyses.
  • Monitor and escalate potential risks to the Procurement Manager and suggest remedial actions.
  • Assist in the facilitation of compliance audits.
  • Identify and manage problems, escalated issues and operational risks.
  • Take a proactive approach to risk management, ensuring risks and issues are identified, addressed and reported and, where appropriate, escalated.
  • Analyse data, interpret trends anticipate issues and ensure contingency plans are in place.
  • Leverage Procurement technology to automate, integrate and digitize the workplace; ensure system integrity.
  • Identify innovative ways to improve business practices, processes and synergies to save costs, increase efficiencies and improve service delivery.
  • Conduct international benchmarking to stay abreast of competitive best practice.
