- Ideally Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum Requirement NQF level 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade12 or Adult Senior Certificate) with English literacy or N3 in Engineering studies
- At least Three (5 ) years' experience as an Instrument Technician in underground mining environment. Preferably Plants
- Instruments calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting and services. New installations, plant modifications.
- Sound Knowledge of the installation and fault finding on 420 mA loop, instruments used to control and measure variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, force, etc
- Must be willing to work shifts
- Escalation of unresolved breakdowns or unsuccessful maintenance and installations
- Adherence to document control standards and procedures
- Safe installation, repairs and maintenance of field instrumentation
- Test and Calibration of Instruments to conform to specifications and set standards ·
- Perform standby duties
