Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Coordinator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Request quotations and order materials from approved suppliers to meet demand.
Maintain accurate inventory levels and documentation on the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Create and submit timely Purchase Orders for approval via the ERP system.
Evaluate external providers to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.
Conduct incoming inspections of received materials.
Capture purchased stock and materials on the ERP system.
Address supplier queries promptly and efficiently.
Communicate progress with vendors and suppliers to team members and managers.
Maintain and update supplier information, including qualifications, delivery times, and product ranges.
Comply with current company procurement procedures and policies.
Perform minor support roles within the company as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Purchasing or equivalent experience.

Essential Skills and Experience:

2-5 years of relevant industry experience.
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Good planning and coordinating skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Understanding of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and potential issues.
Pro-active approach to managing technical query processes between suppliers and engineers.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Experience in procurement of Electronic components.
Experience in coordinating international shipping from suppliers.
Familiarity with ERP systems.

General Skills:

Ability to learn quickly and absorb new information rapidly.
Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate on large projects.
Ability to work independently.
Strong problem-solving skills.
High standard of communication skills in English (verbal and written).
