QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
Graduate or preferably MBA in Retail


EXPERIENCE:
5 years, Relevant Experience at least 4 years in supermarket category in hypermarket
Overseas experience is an added advantage


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Planning


Determine budget required to achieve category targets and ensure that all tasks/activities are executed within allocated budget and time frame.

Develop business & Promo plan for category in line with overall organization strategy keeping brands, vendors, branches, customer TG, space planning and budgeting in mind.

Develop the Terms of Trade for each vendor whereby all aspects of the business is taken into consideration from expectations, operational efficiencies, backend income opportunities to be clearly defined
Develop & Execute marketing plans to create demand for category, brands and thus drive sales.

Based on available space in each outlet, efficiently optimize the space utilization to generate maximum Return on Space and return on investment.

Develop the private label strategy to drive additional margins in the various concepts.
Develop strategy for online platform keeping brands, vendors, branches, customer TG, space planning and budgeting in mind.
Evaluate the category rollout/contribution to overall business is maintained

Inventory

Develop & Identify range of products in line with store format strategy & market demand at store level
Develop strategy to create demand in the category to increase footfalls and grow customer base
Identify new products for introduction to improve on range planning, margins within the store format, market demand and product availability
Ensure timely stock replenishment in all outlets based on CATMAN, POG & Sales rate to minimize OOS
Closely monitor the stock holding per concept and ensure that ageing stocks are maintained within parameters.
Ensure that the category aesthetics, merchandising & VM is periodically updated to ensure appropriate displays and category flow

New Store Development
Ensure complete planning required by a new store is done in line with organizational strategy
Develop the design brief for each store based on store layouts based on organization strategy identified for the catchment

Vendor
Identify appropriate vendor for each product. Develop TOT for that vendor. Negotiate pricing and ensure minimum lead time and maximum fill rates
Ensure that vendor payments are done as per agreed timelines
