Sales Manager / Key Accounts Manager (Mining Industry)

Johannesburg South, Gauteng

R 35,000 base + Commission & Travel Allowance

Requirements:

National Senior Certificate or Equivalent
Valid driver's license and access to own transport
Minimum 5 years of work experience in the screening/mining environment
Strong technical and engineering background with metallurgical knowledge
Proven track record of consistently achieving budgets and targets
Ability to prepare accurate quotations and reports
Experience in tender preparation
Willingness to travel locally for operational needs
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build and nurture client relationships
Professional appearance and behavior

Responsibilities:

Promote and sell the company's products and services to assigned key accounts within a specific geographic area or product range to meet sales targets.
Follow up on sales leads, visit existing and potential customers, assess their needs, provide product advice, negotiate prices, and secure sales orders.
Collaborate with customer personnel to advise on screen media adjustments and enhance operational efficiency.
Identify and engage prospective key account customers, building positive relationships for future sales opportunities.
Assist the internal sales team in preparing clear and effective quotations.
Provide feedback on customer concerns and competitor activities to relevant internal contacts.
Develop and implement sales plans, prioritize activities, and ensure targets are met.
Participate in trade shows and conventions when necessary.
Coordinate crossfunctional operations to align with sales and marketing strategies.
Assist in tender/contract preparation and manage initial plant and equipment design.
Comply with occupational health and safety regulations and report any incidents.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
