Head Creator, Marketer & Artist


Full time position:40-48 hours


Location:
Cape Town. Hybrid (remote and in-office)

Our little team is growing to support our ever-evolving and rapidly scaling company.

We now need a full time Creator, Marketer & Artist to consolidate the hard work being done in our many departments.

Roles and responsibilities:

roles and responsibilities change frequently at our company, but always with due consideration and consultation. We have two brands - "Oh Oat" and "ditto" - the below applies to both wherever they diverge (i.e. we have different social media accounts for our different brands).

1.
Content Creation (1/2):for socials, our waffle house, our wholesale clients, our partners, our internal organisation.

Content Creation (2/2): print media, social media, photography, videography, copywriting, illustrations (basic), graphic design & templating

Social Media Strategy & Design:
You'll stay on top of social media trends and translate those insights into a robust social media marketing calendar.

You'll plan and execute our 'Flavour of The Month' promotion, manage product photoshoot aesthetics, and keep our digital marketing and SM campaigns fresh and effective
.

Store Promotions:
online promotions (paid and organic) in-store promotions at our parlour, and promotions at our retail partners (i.e. Spar, Food
Lovers Market, etc).

In-Store branding:
at our Waffle House. Including posters, menus, etc. Merchandising materials for our retail partners and stockists.

Digital Marketing:
Social-media paid for media, Google Adwords

7.


Product Presentation and Packaging:

you will work closely with Trent (one of our co-founders) on the execution of new packaging for new product lines.

PR:

you will ensure effective communication about brand events to the public, build and nurture relationships with complementary brands for collaborative marketing opportunities, and liaise with media outlets to maximise our brand exposure.

Skills, Competencies & Requirements:

• You have a portfolio of work which showcases the depth and strengths of your skills.
• You have a track record of executing successful paid media campaigns on social media and Google Adwords.
• You have a history of work including references who can vouch for you.
• A degree from an appropriate design school or university OR certifications of proficiency

(Adobe Illustrator, etc)**:

• You own editing equipment (powerful Macbook or equivalent)
• You own appropriate camera equipment and accessories.
• You have a car and a car licence.
• You're proficient in all areas of marketing, and you know how to crunch numbers to evaluate your campaigns' success.
• You have excellent communication skills and you're always keeping an eye on the latest trends and best practices in marketing.
