    Quality Driven Associate Underwriting Consultant

    Our client, a leading entity in the Financial Services Industry, seeks an exceptional Quality Driven Associate Underwriting Consultant to drive strategic growth and excellence.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement risk models and life claims philosophies.
    • Analyze data to recommend changes to risk models and strategies.
    • Manage reinsurer relationships and policies.
    • Create training materials and educate risk consultants on industry trends.

    Key Duties:

    • Verify risk management attributes for underwriting anniversaries, servicing, new business, and claims.
    • Ensure adherence to risk management rules, ratings, and insurance laws.
    • Make informed decisions on policy acceptance, pricing, and terms.
    • Identify underwriting concerns and propose solutions.
    • Resolve queries from stakeholders and maintain effective relationships.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12 qualification (essential).
    • Relevant tertiary qualification; medical diploma/degree beneficial.
    • 3-5 years of experience in life underwriting and administration.
    • Knowledge of long-term insurance industry principles.
    • Experience with individual life insurance products.
    • Sound understanding of insurance administrative processes.

    Skills:

    • Proficiency in MS Office and PC literacy.
    • Accurate typing skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Effective interpersonal skills for conflict resolution and relationship management.
