Identify market opportunities and potential clients / prospects in accordance to DBS ideal client profile for Airfreight while developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve new business sales targets and results

  • Selling of all services nationally including forwarding & clearing of Airfreight products
  • Secure medium to large size airfreight customers
  • Ability to identify opportunities to add value to the clients supply chain and sell solutions
  • Interpret data to optimize clients supply chain
  • Ensure required monthly, quarterly and annual targets are met
  • Develop a pipeline strategy and ensure a full pipeline is maintained at all times
  • Achieve weekly activity targets
  • Opening and implementation of new business in line with KPIs set and interim servicing and monitoring of serviceprovision to new account
  • Developing and maintaining an ongoing pipeline / list of prospective clients in line with new business strategy
  • Maintaining own existing client base and managing relationship with customers until handover to Key Account Manager
  • Continously look for extention opportunities of clients business in order to expand services to available customers
  • Communicate with Product Managers regarding customer enquiries
  • CRM system maintained accurately and timeously with client details, activity and call reports as per KPI
  • Collecting and analyzing customer, market and competitor information
  • Coordinating marketing activity with others and improving lead generation
  • Preparation of proposals, profiles, presentations, new and new business development reports
  • Continuous development of industry and product knowledge in order to provide logistics solutions to meet cutomer needs
  • Effective use of organisational resources to achieve desired results.
Grade 12 Certificate

  • Minimum 5 years proven track record in dealing with customers and New Business Sales
  • Strong ability to sell and thorough undertanding of the sales process
  • Professional sales training
  • Consistent target achievement
  • Must be confident and assertive
  • Must have a sense of urgency and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and corporate standards at all times
  • Advanced computer literacy,i
