    Job Overview

    E2E Staffing (PTY) LTD seeks a highly skilled Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join their team in Witbank. As a key member of the operations team, you will provide effective support to ensure optimum plant availability.

    About the Role

    The successful candidate will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical support to the operations team, ensuring the smooth operation of electro-mechanical equipment. This includes planning and performing routine services, repairs, and preventative maintenance in a professional and cost-effective manner.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure the application of and adherence to the Maintenance Information system (Service Manager) and control all assets with the Asset Register.
    • Respond promptly to breakdowns and prioritize jobs efficiently.
    • Plan and perform routine services, repairs, and preventative maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment in a professional and cost-effective manner.
    • Apply sound human resource principles, administration, and control procedures to meet performance objectives.
    • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act and comply with applicable ISO system requirements.
    • Ensure specified stock levels are kept and monitor electro-mechanical plant condition closely.
    • Assist with specifications, sourcing, quality control, pricing, tendering, and implementation of new electrical, mechanical, and civil installations.

    Requirements

    • A qualified Millwright with apprenticeship or equivalent training.
    • A Section 13 or Section 26D certificate.
    • A Wireman's license (3 phase) is preferred or studying towards.
    • Experience in SCADA and PLC control systems, as well as field control instrumentation, is an advantage.

    Essential Skills and Qualifications

    • Instrumentation and controls aptitude, with knowledge of appropriate principles and practices.
    • Adequate knowledge of system structures and how to troubleshoot systems by utilizing design principles.
    • Operational and safety procedures pertaining to maintenance activities, including safe use of tools and hand tools.
    • Maintaining pertinent records.
    • Reading, interpreting, and understanding data.
    • Clear communication skills, both verbally and in written form.
    • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
    • Basic understanding of OHS Act and its application.
    • Knowledge of VSD applications, medium voltage switchgear operating and maintenance principles, and 22KV overhead power line inspections and maintenance.

    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

    Additional Requirements

    • Medically fit according to client requirements.
    • Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, gases, solvents, toxic materials, hazardous chemicals within allowable exposure limits.
    • Working in various types of weather conditions, confined spaces, at heights, and on uneven surfaces.
    • Physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting, standing, and walking for prolonged periods, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and operating motorized equipment.
    • Good hand-eye-co-ordination, normal visual range with or without correction, and normal audio range with or without correction.
    • Responsibility could include supporting other sites in the region.
    • Owning a vehicle or having own transport method.
    • Will to travel and have own accommodation within the region.
    • Standby duties after hours and over weekends.

    Estimated salary: R550,000 - R700,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
