    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious graduate professional to join our team as a Financial Planning Assistant. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of investment products and a strong background in financial planning, accounting, tax, or CFP.

    About the Role

    This role requires someone who is eager and ambitious for a career in the financial planning industry – either specializing in client services or financial planning. As a Financial Planning Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our financial advisors and assisting with various tasks related to client queries, documentation, and office management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Administration: Follow up on instructions with internal and external stakeholders, phone clients to request documents and schedule meetings, attend to client queries, draft and post quarterly reports, prepare documentation for client meetings, complete forms and liaise with clients, compile investment proposals, complete all documentation, mandates and applications forms, submit various instructions, track and monitor instructions, manage the diary of the financial advisor, generate and structure agenda for minutes of meeting and execute or monitor actions taken on conclusion of meeting.
    • Ensure that legal and estate planning documents are compliant, constantly update FICA and FAIS.
    • Greater Office Contribution: Attend annual client presentations and other advice-related events, general office management tasks including reception, facilities, diary management, stationery management etc.

    Requirements

    • General: Excellent knowledge of investment products, preference for investment management, financial planning, accounting, tax or CFP, at least 2+ years' experience in a financial services environment, knowledge of the financial services industry, FAIS and FICA knowledge, professional verbal and written skills, drivers license and own vehicle.
    • Computer Competency: Microsoft Office applications.
    • Knowledge: General knowledge of financial markets, knowledge of investment products, rate of return and income tax (CGT).
    • Personal Characteristics: Excellent verbal and writing skills, detail-orientated, high levels of accountability and trust, multi-tasking, good people skills, strong ability to work under pressure, ability to work independently as well as within a team structure, professional and positive attitude.
