    Description

    Industrial Controller

    An Industrial Controller plays a pivotal role in supporting company managers and employees, aiding in daily office operations and contributing to efficient industrial activity management.

    Purpose of the Role:

    This position requires strong business numeracy and computer literacy skills, with knowledge of operations, safety, health, and environmental regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Centralize office communication, directing relevant information to plant and office personnel.
    2. Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings for smooth operations.
    3. Maintain organized filing systems for cement plants and office records.
    4. Capture and submit data within specified deadlines.
    5. Reconcile and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    6. Minute meetings and manage the diary of the Industrial Director.
    7. Generate, monitor, and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
    8. Analyse plant costs, identify deviations, and implement corrective measures.
    9. Participate in strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
    10. Support performance metric implementation and monitoring.
    11. Conduct statistical studies to enhance process efficiency.
    12. Compile and collate budgets and forecasts with plant personnel and finance.
    13. E nsure compliance with legal and company policies, including safety, health, and environmental regulations.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    1. Grade 12 Senior Certificate
    2. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or Accounting.
    3. 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing.
    4. Cement industry experience is advantageous.
    5. Strong business numeracy and computer literacy skills.
    6. Knowledge of operations, safety, health, and environmental regulations.

    Requirements:

    A successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
