Title:
Diagnostics Automotive Technician

Reports to:
Workshop Manager

Experience:

minimum 5 years working experience as a motor mechanic, including diagnostics

Highest qualification:
QCTO accredited trade test certificate

Key areas of focus:

Diagnostics, trouble shooting and fault finding
Repairs and servicing of motor vehicles

Duties

Identify mechanical issues with and without diagnostic machinery
Repair and service of motor vehicles
Engine overhaul
Fitting and replacement of parts
Motor vehicle inspection and test driving
Troubleshooting and fault finding
Maintain a clean and safe environment
Mentoring of apprentices and signing off logbooks when required

Requirements:

QCTO accredited trade test certificate

Valid South African drivers' licence (preferably Code 10)

Minimum 5 years working experience as a motor mechanic, including diagnostics

At least two contactable references

Previous experience in a motor vehicle dealership (preferable)
