    Dispensary Manager Job Description

    Dis-Chem Pharmacies seek a Dispensary Manager for their Tzaneen store. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the dispensary, including self-medication and staff.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure dispensary and self-medication areas are adequately staffed, and that staff work within their scope of practice
    • Adhere to Good Pharmacy Practice rules and regulations
    • Maintain stock levels, ensuring no expired or short-dated stock is held
    • Audit and manage negative stock daily
    • Prepare for stocktake in advance
    • Follow stock ordering process to maximize purchasing compliance
    • Maintain accurate records, including Schedule 6 medication and SAPC registration
    • Capture script details accurately and verify patients' details on the system
    • Provide professional and responsible service, adhering to legal requirements

    Essential Qualifications:

    • BPharm / equivalent qualification
    • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
    • Registered tutor
    • Unisolv experience
    • Experience in supervising staff
    • Computer literate – MS Office
    • Sound numerical skills
    • Strong command of English and a second language

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Previous management experience of at least 7 staff
    • Relevant retail/FMCG experience
    • Third additional language
    • SAP experience
    • E-scripting experience
