Description

Key Purpose
To use their tools and engineering techniques to maintain and repair mechanical plant machinery and equipment to operational standards


Responsibilities

  • Maintain mechanical drives as well as hydraulic and pneumatic components
  • Machine reliability and availability delivered as per regional targets preventative maintenance schedules executed, develop and upgrade maintenance schedules for plant and equipment
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to process teams operating procedures, fault finding
  • Provide project support with regards to commissioning machines and equipment or pilot and test a new technical service
  • Participate as functional problem solving
  • Identify opportunities for innovation (Installation upgrades, enhancements and shared learnings)
  • Control logístical flow of machine components and materials (Stores, materials)
  • Address safety, health and environmental requirements and hazards.
  • Monitor and control quality control practices in a manufacturing / engineering environment.

Qualifications / Experience

  • N3/N4 National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
  • Fitter Trade Test (or related Turner / Millwright)
  • 5 Years' experience within a similar environment
