SOURCING SPECIALIST

JOB PROFILE / LOCATION:
A Specialist Level Position in the FMCG / Manufacturing Industry based in Northern Johannesburg (Gauteng)

JOB SUMMARY:

My Client is in search of a suitably qualified and experienced individual to assume the above-mentioned role within their organisation.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the establishment and execution of sourcing events (RFI, RFQ, RFPs) for their respective commodity ensuring targeted savings are delivered and supply risks are mitigated.

They will also configure and execute (e-)sourcing events and ensure a continuous supply of materials and services that meet the business operational need.

Specific role outputs will include:

Provide full support to the Category and Commodity Manager in carrying out the defined sourcing strategy (e.g. category analysis, negotiation & selection, contracting)
Understand business requirements and develop a tactical procurement plan for assigned spend with guidance from commodity and category manager
Analyse the commodity spend and supply market and utilize should cost models created by the Supply Chain Centre of Excellence Sourcing Analytics Team
Conduct company RFX processes and support in negotiations with suppliers, business stakeholders and internal clients to select suppliers and draft suitable contracts with service/delivery agreements
Compile procurement motivations for approval of RFX awards ensuring compliance with Tiger Brands Procurement Policy and Procedures
Develop, implement and manage supplier contracts for assigned spend
Coordinate the operational linkage with manufacturing sites to ensure that supplier performance levels are monitored and reported
Integrate with operational procurement to resolve supply issues with suppliers
Provide budgetary input, quarterly cost forecasts, and ZBM's to commodity managers for review and signoff
Complete commodity ZBM's (manual and Oracle)
Maintain Supply Risk registers for specified commodities

CRITERIA / REQUIREMENTS

A relevant tertiary qualification
A minimum of 3+ years experience procurement
Solid experience in FMCG industry
Sound knowledge of operational procurement, procurement systems, supplier relationship management, cost management and ZBB
Excellent analytical, operations management, commercial acumen, project management and problem solving skills
The ability to influence others, drive longterm results and the development of self and others
Excellent communication (written, verbal & presentation) and negotiation skills
