    Senior Process Technician Role

    The Senior Process Technician will report to the IV Team Leader and be responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operation of the Island View Terminal.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain all equipment in assigned areas in good working condition, perform routine checks, and report any maintenance issues.
    • Perform duties required to achieve stable and reliable operations, maintain safe equipment operation, and adhere to environmental and quality standards.
    • Execute site-specific procedures as needed.
    • Audit work permits within assigned areas and collaborate with maintenance, project, and other personnel to ensure safe activities.
    • Prepare equipment for maintenance and projects, re-commission when complete, and follow LOTO isolation procedures.
    • Conduct thorough shift handovers.
    • Maintain high housekeeping standards within operating areas to ensure safe working conditions, recognize hazards, and take action to mitigate or eliminate them.
    • Report incidents, injuries, and near misses according to procedures.
    • Participate in incident reporting, investigation, and review.
    • Take personal safety responsibility and assist others in meeting safety requirements.
    • Shutdown equipment and plant according to procedures and timescales.
    • In emergency situations, follow procedures, assess the situation, raise the alarm, and assist in containment until shift fire crews arrive.
    • Analyze product streams, communicate results, and report deviations from procedures and working standards to the Production Team Leader.
    • Protect people from process risks through safe work practices and plant operation.
    • Raise alarms in case of fires on plant, execute fire containment, and assist in shutdown instructions.
    • Train trainees on plant operations and report their progress to the Production Team Leader.
    • Meet performance standards for environmental and quality requirements, contain emergencies, minimize damage and disruption, and prepare equipment for maintenance and projects in a safe and timely manner.

    Requirements:

    • Senior Process Technician certification
    • 4-8 years' experience in petrochemical operations environment
    • Valid driver's license
    • IV shipping and tankage experience is essential

    Skills:

    • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
    • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to operate effectively under pressure in a complex environment
    • Initiative to develop and manage efficient ways to achieve set objectives
    • Awareness and appreciation for health, safety, and environmental issues
    • Will to progress in training and skill improvement program
