The Strategic Fuel Fund Association (SFF), a subsidiary of the Central Energy Fund (CEF), manages crude oil storage facilities in the Western Cape, and environmental protection against oil pollution.


Purpose

. To assist with the co-ordination and interaction between the Legal Department and its internal, external clients and other stakeholders and to provide professional legal advisory support


Responsibilities

  • Assist with ensuring that good corporate governance is applied.
  • Assist with the provision of legal compliance and management advice.
  • Performs legal advisory support.
  • Provides commercial contracts negotiation and drafting assistance and support.
  • Compile and maintain legal contracts and related documents register.
  • Assist the business with the compliance and implementation of applicable legislation.
  • Coordinates professional interactions and liaison with external Legal advisors.
  • Assist with management and monitoring of litigation management and outsourced legal matters.
  • Coordinate the establishment and maintenance of a legal library by compiling and updating legal resource books and reference materials on an ongoing basis.

Qualification

  • LLB / B.Proc / B.Com Law
  • Admission as Attorney / Advocate of the High Court of South Africa
