Role Purpose/Business Unit:


Provide Strategic and high-level specialist services through management of processes and efficient service flow, ensuring consistent employee experience, and business legislative risk management.

and all ER-related projects and assignments across Vodacom SA and Group.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Design, plan, and lead implementation of the ER strategy and practices.
  • Develop and influence standardisation of policies, processes, frameworks, guidelines, and tools to manage ER issues in VSA
  • Create a governance model for Employee relations matters that will support the life cycle of the organisation.
  • Conduct research to determine the organisation's employee relations requirements.
  • Drive a culture of proactive compliance and risk management.
  • Develop an operational plan to execute work in an agile manner.
  • Design and provide integrated performance reports for reporting frameworks that provide feedback on operational performance, service delivery and collaboration with business and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the HR strategy and assist in the implementation thereof.
  • Set direction on employee relations best practices across VSA.
  • Provide consultation and advisory support to business on ER Matters
  • Provide direction in conducting Speakup investigations; preparing witnesses and collecting evidence in preparation for the Internal ER process
  • Ensure training provided is relevant to the current and/or new legislation and that employees are updated on internal ER Policies to increase understanding and effectiveness when dealing with ER issues.
  • Facilitate the proper coordination of ER processes, including grievance, incapacity, discipline, and income continuation.
  • Employee Relations Risk Management: conducting ER Impact and risk assessments


  • Matric/grade 1

  • Honours degree in ER or HRrelated field
  • Admitted Attorney advantageous.
  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience in a Labour lawrelated field in a corporate environment and/or HR generalist field with significant ER exposure.
