    Job Description

    The &Beyond Direct Sales Team requires a creative, independent, dynamic, enthusiastic, proactive, and service-driven team player to lead and support regional businesses in South Asia and South America.

    • Lead a team of Travel Specialists
    • Support Direct Sales activities
    • Pursue direct sales targets
    • Optimize Team performance through training and quality assurance
    • Maximise understanding of the Commission Calculator Tool
    • Train and motivate Team to search for sales leads
    • Enhance day-to-day operations
    • Conduct regular one-on-one discussions with Team members
    • Share feedback and information with the Group Sales Manager
    • Ensure consistency and best practice across Teams
    • Set up ad-hoc sales initiatives and campaigns
    • Set examples for personal character, commitment, and selling skills
    • Work closely with other Sales Operations Managers and Administrative Assistants
    • Assist with the annual Direct Indaba
    • Point of contact for teams' Educational Requests
    • Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all &Beyond employees
    • Support the team on social media platforms
    • Recruit, contract, train, and mentor new team members
    • Handover responsibilities when a team member leaves

    Key Outputs:

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Leadership: Lead a team of Travel Specialists
    • Sales Support: Support Direct Sales activities
    • TARGETS: Pursue direct sales targets as defined by the Group Sales Manager - Direct
    • Team Development: Optimize Team performance through training, exposure, and feedback and quality assurance
    • Commission Calculator: Maximize the Teams' understanding of the Commission Calculator Tool and drivers
    • Sales Leads: Train and motivate Team to search for sales leads and prospects
    • Operations: Enhance, streamline, and simplify the day-to-day operations of the Team

    Knowledge Required (Qualifications or Training Programs):

    Software Skills:

    • Microsoft Outlook: Strong Excel skills

    Industry Knowledge:

    • Travel and Tourism Diploma: Industry Experience
    • Destination Knowledge: Knowledge of Tourplan, Maximizer, WETU, Social media platforms of Facebook, Instagram and, Blogs advantageous

    Skills Required:

    Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

    • Product Knowledge: Good understanding of terms and conditions, product knowledge, third-party destinations, general knowledge, third party and andBeyond Product destinations
    • Data Analysis: Understanding of E-Commerce systems (Booking platforms e.g. Take a lot)
    • Social Media: Understanding of Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Trip Advisor)
    • Computer Skills: Computer - Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

    Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

    • Data Analysis: Understanding of data and analyses done

    • Language: Excellent command of both spoken and written English (e.g. reporting)
