As the Digital Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and managing all digital content across our web and online platforms.
You will be responsible for managing and enhancing web content, ensuring that the organisation's website remains a dynamic and user-friendly platform for their audience.
You will play a pivotal role in maintaining a seamless online experience for stakeholders and in shaping the online presence, enhancing the brand, and driving audience engagement.
The position reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager. It requires a strong proficiency working with WordPress (not at developer level), and an understanding/some knowledge of HTML.Additionally, if you have some writing experience, are proficient in MailChimp and Google Analytics we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Website Updates:
- Regularly update and maintain content on our website to reflect the latest information, and all the elements of the brand (logos, images, and updated documents).
- Ensure that the website's design and functionality are consistently optimised for an excellent user experience.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Working closely across teams (design, content, analytics) is essential for successful campaign execution.
- Clear communication and collaboration facilitate the seamless integration of ideas and strategies.
Content Creation:
- Create and curate web content, including change management content, landing pages, and multimedia elements, to support website updates.
- Coordinate the weekly newsletter and MailChimp campaigns. Collaborate with the broader team to align content with overall brand messaging and campaigns.
- Create content for the core social media channels with the aim of driving engagement, building audiences, increasing web traffic, and ultimately driving website enquiries/leads.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Monitor and report on social media engagement results monthly and ensure lead data is captured for reporting purposes.
- Use web analytics tools to track the performance of website content and user engagement.
- Generate regular reports on key website metrics and propose improvements based on data insights.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure all website content is errorfree, uptodate, and compatible with various web browsers and devices.
- Monitor website performance and responsiveness, addressing any issues promptly.
- Proactively monitor all the social media sites daily, including all conversations with the brand followers and work with the Marketing and Communications manager to ensure timeous responses to inquiries and leads.
SEO Optimisation:
- Optimise website content for search engines (SEO) to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic.
- Implement SEO best practices, including keyword research and onpage optimisation for new and updated content.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Web Development, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience, at least 2 years)
- Proven experience in website updates, digital content creation, including design, writing, editing, and multimedia content production.
- Proficient in Google Analytics.
- Strong command of the English language with an understanding of writing and editing to create highquality, engaging, and errorfree content.
- Proficiency in WordPress and basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
- MailChimp proficiency
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative content ideas.
- The ability to adapt the writing style to suit the target audience and platform, whether it's a newsletter publication, social media update, or staff contact list on the website.
- Ability to adapt content to match the company's brand voice and messaging, and to create content that is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and responsive across different devices.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- The ability to generate fresh and innovative content ideas that capture the audience's attention.
- Ability to update and maintain website content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and a seamless user experience.
- Strong knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) best practices to improve the website's search engine rankings.
- The ability to generate reports and derive insights to propose improvements based on data.
- Selfstarter and able to work independently as well as in a team.
