The incumbent will be expected to: -**Provide Monitoring & Evaluation, Results Based Management and Project Management expertise to advice on the development of systems for government and civil society organisations.- Support the relationship between CLEAR-AA, and the University by providing teaching support and by undertaking commissioned research in CLEAR-AA's areas of research interests.- Design and manage training programmes, seminars and workshops for government, civil society and other key stakeholders on new and innovative approaches in the field of evaluation
- Provide technical expertise in the design and implementation of evaluation and applied research projects for government, civil society organisations and private sector companies.
- Support the line manager in responding to requests for proposals.
- Contribute to the delivery of the Centre's Research agenda.
- Provide support in the design and development of CLEAR-AA related content, including the website, quarterly reports and annual reports.
- Provide technical support to other business lines on their respective projects, if and when needed.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Philosophy degree in Sociology, Development Studies, and Political Science etc or other relevant Masters.
- At least 5 years' experience in conducting, managing or commissioning evaluations and/or experience in designing, setting up and institutionalizing government or civil society M&E systems
- Excellent research and academic writing in DHET accredited journals (at least 35 peer reviewed journal articles). Experience in Qualitative and /or Quantitative research and/or evaluation methods Strong computer literacy skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong project management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluency in English)
- Willingness to travel both locally and internationally when required.
