Description

Our client is looking for a committed, proactive and experienced
Logistics Controller who has the ability to multi-task and co-ordinate multiple loads and offloads from our clients own fleet as well as their suppliers fleets.

Minimum Requirements

Matric + Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain advantageous
Knowledge of waste management, experience with landfills and waste removal companies advantageous
Weighbridge experience
35 years in a logistics supervisor role
Computer literate, strong Excel
Syspro/ ERP system
Working hours 07:0017:00 Monday-Friday (occasional Saturday)
Own vehicle

Responsibilities

Computer skills to use Syspro and capture information regarding loads received, dispatched, and creating requisitions for local deliveries
Computer skills to edit and print labels for bales and to ensure all bales are neatly labelled
Manage a small team of general workers to ensure good housekeeping, loading, weighing, and recording of the waste on site
Understanding of safety and safe working procedures
Must be able to handle pressure when there are multiple deliveries with mínimal space in the yard
Excellent communication skills with suppliers, customers, and logistics companies to arrange deliveries, collections, waste removals etc
Coordinate the logistics between the three aggregations sites (Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban)
