    The Role

    We are seeking a QA Engineer based in Johannesburg and Cape Town to conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with QA Analysts and Software Developers to develop solutions for the Client.

    Requirements

    1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    2. Certifications in Automation, Performance, Cloud, Testing would be beneficial.
    3. No less than 10 years' experience in Quality Assurance - Automation and Performance testing.
    4. Experience with one or more Automation tools (Web, Mobile) and designing automation frameworks.
    5. Familiarity with Atlassian tool sets like Jira, Confluence, GitHub.
    6. Knowledge of JavaScript scripting on Automation.
    7. Experience with Appium for mobile automation.
    8. Familiarity with one or more performance testing tools.
    9. Analyze bank systems and implement Non-Functional testing across the bank.
    10. Support test data requirements for squads.
    11. Working understanding of APIs and API frameworks.
    12. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and jobs, involving aligning automation scripts to the pipeline.
    13. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    14. High attention to detail.
    15. Knowledge of deploying applications to cloud (AWS preferred).
    16. Digital Retail Banking Experience.

    Responsibilities

    1. Collaborate with a team to ensure script implementation complies with best practices and testability requirements.
    2. Work closely with software developers and test engineers to understand software workflows, use cases, and specifications in creating automated tests across the application.
    3. Expand automation framework to provide additional test capabilities.
    4. Analyze existing systems to find areas for improvement.
    5. Actively participate in an agile development process.
