    Tier 2 Technical Support Engineer

    Located in Cape Town, we are seeking a highly skilled individual to fill this position.

    The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5+ years of experience in IT & Networking and hold formal IT qualifications, preferably Microsoft role-based certifications.

    • A strong combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for learning and growth makes a successful candidate.
    • Minimum 1 year onsite experience at a client is required.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • This role involves providing high-end, proactive and reactive Technical Support for our client portfolio.
    • Key responsibilities include project design and implementation, infrastructure security analysis and reporting, client documentation and policy design.
    • Incident management, problem management, resolving service requests, and change management are also essential duties.
    • Familiarity with the ITIL Framework and ITSM Systems is necessary.
    • Expertise in Microsoft technologies such as Office 365, Microsoft 365, Azure, Hyper-V / VMWare is required.
    • Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking protocols, VLANs, firewalls, managed switches, and routers is necessary.
    • Understanding of network security and malware/ransomware prevention is also essential.
    • Mentoring junior consultants and hosting technical workshops for the team are additional responsibilities.
