    Engineering Manager - Permanent Position

    Salaried Role in the Mining Industry

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Establish and maintain SHERQ frameworks to ensure statutory compliance.
    2. Develop and implement functional strategic plans.
    3. Oversee the implementation of change programs and corrective measures to optimize business performance.
    4. Analyze business intelligence and trends to inform decision-making.
    5. Implement an operations effectiveness model to drive process efficiency.
    6. Design and maintain compliance structures and frameworks.
    7. Develop and implement risk management strategies.
    8. Ensure functional compliance and risk management practices are in place.
    9. Hold accountability for functional performance and be aware of micro- and macro-economic conditions.
    10. Develop and own processes, ensuring effective engineering management.
    11. Enforce strict compliance with regulations.
    12. Manage contracts and monitor progress.
    13. Provide engineering support and ensure business and legal reporting is accurate.
    14. Maintain IMS standards compliance.
    15. Plan, implement, and monitor the functional budget.
    16. Foster internal and external stakeholder relationships.

    Requirements:

    1. Grade 12 Certificate.
    2. GCC Certificate in Opencast/Underground Mines.
    3. National Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
    4. A minimum of 7 years' experience as a Section Engineer in the Mining or Heavy Engineering Industry, with at least 4 years of management experience.

    The estimated salary for this role is R1,200,000 per annum, commensurate with industry standards and location.
