    Job Overview

    A leading supplier of HIGH VOLTAGE electrical equipment seeks an experienced Site Manager to oversee construction sites.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Qualified Electrician/Technician with relevant experience
    2. Authorised person for HV Regulations
    3. Safety Representative Qualification (NOSA, SAMTRAC or equivalent)
    4. Ability to work independently
    5. Manage and supervise substation construction and commissioning activities on site, ensuring timely, high-quality results
    6. Full-time site work requires extended periods away from home
    7. Supervise bulk earthworks, earth-mat installation, civil works, and building subcontractors
    8. Verify set out points and substation layout according to design drawings
    9. Oversee installation of substation steelwork, busbars, and HV switchgear primary plant
    10. Installation supervision of protection and control secondary plant
    11. Read and implement information from civil works, building, and electrical design drawings
    12. Lead site workforce in performance, safety, quality, and programme management
    13. Supervise cabling, terminating, and wiring connections
    14. Coordinate site acceptance testing of electrical equipment
    15. Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards, maintaining the site safety file
    16. Perform on-site health and safety representative duties
    17. Maintain site administration systems and filing
    18. Report on site activities internally and to the customer
    19. Plan site activities considering material requirements, resourcing, and customer interfacing
    20. Manage site float and purchase consumables for site use
