Our client is an International Mining House where an opportunity exists for a dedicated, hardworking, and enthusiastic and results driven individual to join one of their mines based in Namibia.

They are looking for an experienced Project Lead - Mechanical.

Project Lead - Mechanical - Fixed Term Contract - Mining - Namibia

Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible to plan, organise, manage, direct, coordinate and implement mechanical related aspects of all Project Packages.

Work with business partners as project coordinator to resolve day to day engineering/site related issues
Monitor project tasks and schedule and ensure compliance to plan
Track project performance, analyze key risks and highlight in advance
Responsible for management and handing over of all related drawings/ documents incl. commissioning protocols
Quantity certification & quality checks Qualifications
Ensure project completion within time & budget

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Min 810 years of relevant experience.
Proven working experience in project management role & execution through EPC/Construction partners.
Thorough understanding of Mechanical aspects of Static & Rotary equipment including Waste Heat Boiler, Precipitators,
Heat Exchangers, Thickeners, Reactors, Filter presses, etc.
Understanding of SANS/relevant design code framework in Namibia.
Excellent communication skills
Driver's licence
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
